In northern Brazil, you can discover one of the most magnificent places on the planet: the Lençois Maranhenses. This is an exceptional site of raw nature, characterized by a vast expanse of dunes as far as the eye can see. The particularity of this place is revealed during 5 months of the year, just after the rainy season. During this period, the water-saturated water table rises to the earth's surface, creating freshwater lagoons between each dune. This impressive expanse of lagoons gradually disappears over the weeks, only to reappear at the same time the following year.
